Returns

Our Commitment to Customer Happiness

Here at Gamila Rugs, your satisfaction is our utmost priority. We strive to make the returns process as straightforward as possible. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our terms and conditions before making a purchase.

Return Window

  • You have 7 days from the date of receiving your rug to initiate a return by emailing sales@gamilarugs.com.au.
  • For washable rugs by 'Oh Happy Home,' a 14-day return window is applicable.

Unpacking and Inspection

When you receive a rug from Gamila Rugs:

  • Unroll and place the rug in your desired space, taking care to avoid any markings.
  • Avoid placing furniture on the rug if you're considering a return.
  • Preserve the packaging for potential returns; we can provide repacking suggestions if needed.
  • Inspect the rug upon arrival and notify us within 7 days if there are any discrepancies.

Change of Mind Returns

  • If you change your mind, please inform us within 7 days of receiving the item for eligibility.
  • If you receive the incorrect rug, notify us within 7 days for a prompt replacement.

Incorrect Rug(s) Received

  • Notify us within 7 days of delivery if you receive the wrong rug(s).
  • We cover shipping fees if the error is on our part.

Return Fees and Charges

  • Minimum return shipping fee: $60 + a 15% restocking fee per item.
  • Original shipping fee (if any) deducted from the refund amount.
  • Some areas may incur higher return shipping fees. Please feel free to send us an email for an estimated return shipping quote prior to placing an order via email: sales@gamilarugs.com.au

Afterpay + Zip Pay

  • Fees charged by Afterpay or Zippay deducted from the total refund.
  • Request a return quote via sales@gamilarugs.com.au before returning the rug.

Inspection and Approval

  • Rugs are inspected upon return; approval or rejection notification follows.
  • Approved returns receive a refund (minus return costs)

Courier Damage

Claims and Procedures

  • Note courier damage on the consignment note; inform Gamila Rugs within 3 days.
  • Contact us with photos of damaged items and labels for investigation.
  • Remedies may include a refund or exchange; normal wear and tear is not warranted.

Faulty Items

Manufacturing Faults

  • Report manufacturing faults within 7 days of receiving your rug(s).

Fading and Wear

  • Natural fading and wear occur over time; returns outside the 7-day policy are not possible.

Common Characteristics

  • Shedding, sprouts, and creases are not considered defects but natural characteristics.

Wool Rugs

Care Instructions

  • Extra care needed for wool rugs; avoid frequent vacuuming, power head vacuums, and anchoring furniture.
  • Wool rugs will shed naturally; not recommended for homes with young children.

Void Return

Fees for Void Return

  • Void return fees apply if a return is void due to signs of use or damage during transit.

  • Cost of Return Shipping (as per return quote).

  • Minimum $45 Send Out Shipping Fee.

  • Original order shipping fee (if any) is not refunded.
